Photos of Kirt's living quarters,
probably during his Junior or Senior year at Yale in Timothy Dwight
College (an upper classman's residents hall). Several students
shared a suite containing a living
room and individual bedrooms. In the left photo the poster above the sofa reads "The
new Yakima
gateway to
Rainier National Park". On the desk in Kirt's bedroom room
(right photo) is a
pipe. I
don't recall my father ever
smoking a pipe though he was a cigarette smoker for as long as I can
remember. Perhaps he
smoked a pipe during his college years. On the shelf in
the upper right of
the right hand photo is a portrait of Gina Bowden. |
