April 1927 at the Inglewood Golf Club.  The inscription on the back indicates that the automobile is a "Lincoln" but doesn't say whether it belonged to Homer.

The following series of photos, found among Homer and Rose's photo collection, show Homer and his brother Samuel Kirtland Hine ("Kirt" who was visiting from Ohio) as part of a perhaps guided hiking tour on Mt. Rainier, an over 14,000 foot tall glaciated mountain about 80 miles from Seattle.  In the background of the first photo is the Paradise Inn which is located at about 5,400 ft. up the mountain.  Since no one in the group appears to be carrying a pack and most appear overly dressed , I suspect their adventure was a localized one that didn't involve serious mountain climbing.  The photos are undated but I suspect were taken in the mid to late 1920's.

Homer is second from the right wearing a tie.  His brother Kirt (Samuel Kirtland Hine) is at the far right next to Homer.
